Hello!
June 18th, 2009
My name’s Marcia and I’m the new full-time employee here at Pure Pop. I’ve only been here for three days and already I think this is the coolest job I’ve ever had. Can’t believe my luck! I love music and I’m looking forward to learning a lot and expanding my interests. My favorite album will probably always be Neutral Milk Hotel’s “In The Aeroplane Over The Sea.” I love everything from the E6 Collective intensely, especially Music Tapes, The Gerbils, and Nesey Gallons. I’m also a big fan of the Canadian band Rock Plaza Central and their album titled “Are We Not Horses.” Come say hi to me if you see me in the store. I’m a nice person.

I think I heard that Mr. Gallons met Will Hart in Burlington.

marcia, i got a response from nesey about if he is from VT and this is what he said:
‘hi.
i briefly went to school in burlington many years ago. almost exactly ten years ago when i was fifteen. i met will hart and john fernandes there. when olivia played club metronome. (had to pull serious strings to go to that show.) will and i started corresponding. and actually talking on the telephone almost daily which is really weird because we both hate talking on telephones. i met julian and other folks through will and moved to athens a year and a half later when i was 16 and 3/4s old.
i lived in bennington vermont for a year..06/07 …thats where most of eyes ago and a good sized blob of the next record was written..and eyes ago was recorded there..except the version of aurora borealis thats on the record. i recorded a much more “rockin” version in vermont that i didnt like as much so i re-recorded it when i moved back to maine. ‘

Thanks, John! I really hope he decides to play a few shows here. I’ll go to every single one.
