This isn't the right place to post lists - we'll have a form to fill out soon enough that you can submit your list to. But great job!

Hi, I'm Stan Payne of Middlebury, VT. I am 36 years old and I am a photo specialist. This year have been a very good year for rock music. Lots of old school bands coming back with new albums or reissues. Newer metal bands have decent albums that were released this year. I grew up with the Punk, Grunge, Hardcore and Metal scenes. It's sad that Rock is becoming a lost art. The top 5 albums I have been listening to this year are:

5. Voivod - Warriors of Ice
This is a live album recorded in Montreal which featured all the Voivod classics as well as a couple of newer cuts. A must have for true metalheads!

4. Otep - The Activist
Otep returns with another album with rage against government corruption, social and religious oppression as well as bullying. This album is another must have for metalheads.

3. Primus - Green Naughahyde
This is a most welcome comeback after an indefinite hiatus and all of Les Claypool's side projects. Unfortunately, Tim Alexander did not return to smacking the skins on this album. Jay Lane is technically the original drummer of the band and he replaced Tim Alexander. Les Claypool still writes hilarious cartoonish lyrics.

2. Pearl Jam - Twenty (soundtrack)
This album is a must have for all Pearl Jam fans. It contains some rare and previously unreleased tracks. It has a cover demo of them doing Alice In Chain's "It Ain't Like That" as well as two Temple of the Dog demos.
The movie is great too!

1. Soundgarden - Live on I-5
It's Soundgarden for heaven's sake! This live album was recorded on the west coast of the US during their 1996 tour. The live version of "Jesus Christ Pose" has thundering drums and pounding bass as well as Chris Cornell's monsterous screams. This album includes live covers of "Helter Skelter" and "Search And Destroy". Soundgarden and Chris Cornell are the biggest hype this year because of the reunion mini tour and the Chris Cornell Songbook tour. Looking forward to a brand new Soundgarden album in early to mid '12.
